Gameplay in Vegas Strip Blackjack is simple, intuitive and sweet-looking. Four to six decks of the usual 52 standard playing cards (without the jokers) are employed. The numerical cards are worth their face valuation, while the face cards are worth 10 points, and the aces are either worth one or 11.

As with classic blackjack, the aim in Vegas Strip Blackjack is to gain a hand worth 21. Or as near as that value as practical. The players receive two cards that are face-up, while the dealer gets one each of a face-up and a face-down card.

To play, just pick the chips you wish to bet with. Then click the “deal” button. Next, choose whether to stand, hit, split, or double.

Vegas Strip Blackjack Rules

The strongest hand is blackjack. It automatically stands (the blackjack is an ace, in addition to any card that has a value of 10)

Blackjack pays 3:2

The player and the dealer can both hit a maximum of nine additional cards. For a total hand of 11 cards. But these must not exceed 21 in value.

Players can choose to accept insurance, which pays 2:1

The dealer solely checks for blackjack. This applies both when displaying either a 10 card or a face-up ace.

The dealer is required to stand on all 17s (both hard and soft)

Should both the player and the dealer have a blackjack or such other tied amount, the particular hand automatically pushes. With the original bet being returned to the bankroll of the player

Should the dealer's’ hand be over 21, and the players’ be below 21, the player is automatically the winner

Rules for splitting hands

Players are permitted to split two cards that have the same value or denomination

The bet on the second split hand is rendered automatically equal in value to that of your initial bet

Three maximum splits per game are permitted. This translates to a maximum of four hands in total

Aces are split just once and can only get a single additional card. This automatically stands

If soon after splitting a pair of aces you get a card that possesses a value of 10, you are not considered to have gotten a natural blackjack. Rather, you have a hand that has a value of 21 (the same rules apply should you split two 10’s and get an ace)

Double down rules

The double down bet must be equal to that of your initial wager

Doubling down is only permitted on the first two cards

A split followed by a double down is permitted.

When the player doubles down, he/she will receive a single card.

Insurance rules

The insurance bet is rated as equal to half the value of the initial wager

Any wins/losses on an insurance bet will be paid independently of the initial bet

Insurance bets can only cover the original hand, and not any split hands/double downs

Final Thoughts

Vegas Strip Blackjack is sinfully entertaining and wondrously addictive. With an extra layer of spicy goodness onto the original blackjack flavour, it certainly pours out the atmosphere of the real Vegas casino on your desktops and mobiles.
