Richard - Casino content writer at Spinzwin

Hi, I'm Richard, and I write the game reviews, payment guides and how-to articles you read here at Spinzwin. I go through the rules, the RTP and every feature of a game before you spend a penny on it, and I will always tell you the not-so-good bits too. Please play responsibly, 18+ only.

About Richard

Have you ever wondered who is behind the slot reviews and payment guides you read on Spinzwin? Well then, hello, I'm Richard, and that would be me. I write most of the game reviews, the casino guides and the pages about payment methods here on our site, and my job, in simple terms, is to explain how a game or a payment option actually works before you decide to put your money into it.

I'm not going to tell you that I know some secret trick to beat the reels, becuase there isn't one. Every spin is random, the RTP is a theoretical figure worked out over millions of spins, and hence, no review can promise you a win. What I can do is walk you through the rules, the features, the symbols and the buttons on the screen in plain words, so you know exactly what you are getting into. Isn't that more useful than a promise nobody can keep?

What I Write About

Slots take up most of my time, from old favourites like Thunderstruck II to the newer releases that keep landing in our lobby. I also write about table games such as roulette and blackjack, and about the boring-but-important stuff too, like how to deposit with Pay via Phone, what fees you may possibly pay along the way, and how withdrawals work. In case a topic keeps leaving players with questions, it usually ends up on my list sooner or later.

My own favourite kind of slot? The ones with a proper story behind them, the Norse gods, the ancient temples, the spooky old castles. I'm a sucker for a good theme, mind you, but the features have to hold up as well, otherwise the shine wears off after twenty spins.

How I Put Together a Review

Each game review starts with the facts. The RTP, the volatility, the reels and paylines, the maximum win and the special features are taken from the game provider's own information and the in-game rules, and where something can't be confirmed, it stays out of the review untill it can. Then comes the walkthrough, where I take you through the game screen button by button, as if I'm sitting right next to you. Every slot you play in the UK also comes with the stake limits set by the Gambling Commission, £5 per spin if you are 25 or over and £2 per spin if you are aged 18 to 24, so you will find those in my reviews instead of the provider's global maximum bet.

Payment pages get the same treatment. The amounts, fees and limits come from our own cashier and terms, and in case any of them change, the page gets updated so you are not caught out by an old figure.

Why I Always Talk About Responsible Gambling

You may notice that nearly every article I write has a line or two about budgets and playing responsibly. That is on purpose. Real gambling comes with real risk, and I would much rather you enjoy a game as a bit of fun than chase a loss because a review got you a little too excited. Set a budget before you start, use the deposit limits in your account, and if it ever stops being fun, GamStop and BeGambleAware are there to help, completely free of charge.
